Anyone that knows Aleks Georgi would say that she was born with an incredible passion for music because she sings more than she speaks. She has been playing violin for eight years and guitar for three. Poetry and lyrics flow out of her with such ease that composing songs was something she has no choice but to do. Not only was writing and arranging music invigorating to her, Aleks also became fascinated with the recording aspect of music. With her parent's financial support, she slowly accumulated enough recording equipment to start recording her own demo. After burying herself under millions of manuals on how to use each piece of equipment, Aleks emerged ready and anxious to start recording. Along the way she started playing bass and experimenting with synthesizers and drum loop programs. Aleks recorded her first song in February of 2006. After countless hours spent in the basement writing, recording, and editing, she completed her first 4 song demo and gave it to everyone she knew. Aleks quickly gained overwhelming support and began booking shows and playing at open mics. He favorite show so far has been at The Knitting Factory in Manhattan, where she played with The Forecast and a few other local bands. We all expect great things from this very young singer/songwriter, and we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors in and after college.

Hi, my name is Tashia. first of all I want to say you sound great. Are your songs your own? I am interested because, a freind Deb, and I are trying to pluck people out of the sea of internet crap(if you will).
