"Amanda Wolfe's Alternative music and bio"
Amanda Wolfe first hit the stage in 1998 singing contemporary Christian music. She always felt a stronger pulling to the rock and alternative groups she sang with, but grew as a vocalist singing with bands of different influences ranging from contemporary to rock, and even a little country. Singing country music was nothing new for this grand daughter of a once renown country artist Jimmy Starr. Her first glimpse into the world of performing artists really began as a young child when she tagged along with her grandfather and often joined him for a guest stage appearance during his gigs. Coming from a musical family of players, Amanda picked up her own instrument during school years and played the flute, but years later wishes it would have been a guitar. A compilation of experiences and being around the experienced has complimented her innate ability to hear melodies and instrumental parts in her head without using an instrument. From a very early age, Amanda has written songs and tucked them away for years to come. One of the most rewarding things for Amanda is when the songs in her head and words on paper are brought to life, like a coloring book with crayons.
