"Sgt. B's Rap music and bio"
Sgt. “B” was born in the twin cities of Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas, and grew up listening to a variety of music, from R&B to Rap. While living in Atlanta, Georgia, at 10 years old he began rapping and at the age of 13 he and a few friends formed a group by the name of “Tight Beat Records” known as TBR. After moving back to his hometown of Texarkana, he released and produced over 20 CD’s in a four year period. In April 2003, Sgt. “B” appeared on the Fox Rich Television show that showcases local talent, and won 1st Prize. Sgt. “B” has worked with many youth groups throughout the Four States area and is a positive role model for them, as evidenced by him being currently enrolled in the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff on a Band Scholarship, majoring in Sound Recording Technology. He is recently honored to have the College Band performing one of his original tunes “Cake Mode”. He also has all 15 of his tunes on his CD, “Sgt. B. Presents Mr. Blackwell” on ITunes Ringtones. He loves to make people have a good time. Sgt. “B” is a multi-talented, multi-faceted artist who plays drums and piano, writes, engineers, makes beats, and produces rap and R&B for both himself and other artists. He is currently corroborating beats with DJ Mixx, one of the original “2 Live Crew”. Sgt. “B” has also opened for various acts such as: Dem Franchise Boyz, Rich Boy, Huey, Young Buck, Avant, Bobby Valentino, DSR, Slim Thug, ESG and others. He can currently be seen every Friday Night at III Gables, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, a Club which he co-owns. His most recent CD, which was released May 2007, can be found on his own label TEXAZ BOYZ RECORDINGS AND ENTERTAINMENT.
