"Jet Phynx Rap music and Bio"
Jet Phynx also known as Parris Anthony Duncan has been
rapping since he was 9 years old. Now at age 25 he has
finally made his way into the mainstream world. "Rise
of the Phynx," the name for Jet's first released mix
tape puts small-town Newark Delaware on the map in the
hip hop world. Appearances from Kanye West, Lupe
Fiasco, Chops, DJ Skee, Cut Master C, DJ Folk, Street
Sweepers Radio, Jon Conners, Jay City, The Gorillas,
and many more, show that Mr. Duncan is widely excepted
in the rap community. A recent Article in Out N About
magazine talks about the death of Jet's father, and
many events in his life that make him the person he is
today. Jet has had countless opportunities to sign a
major label deal including heavy hitters such as Def
Jam and Atlantic, but has chosen to stay loyal to his
company Cashmire Records. Cashmire is Co-owned by Jet
and his Manager/business partner Ross Hockrow. Jet
says "I'm in no rush to sign a deal, we have plenty of
money to produce an album, and that's what we're going
to do. We want to prove we can do it ourselves and
then after that we'll think about signing." That Album
he is referring to is Amber Glow Light, which does not
have a release date yet. This will be Jet's first solo
album. Along with the album Jet will include a DVD
with 14 music videos, exclusive interviews with Jet
Phynx, and the making of Amber Glow Light. This Album
will be released in two versions, an album and a DVD.
Also sometime in the first half of 08 Jet will make
his big screen debut, when "Blue Rock Films" storms
the Hollywood scene. The Film "Picture Casino Life" is
a story about an under age poker players life, and his
exit strategy to the game which is at the same time
his transition into the entertainment business. The
News Journal says, "This film has all elements of
Hollywood. Suspense, Drama, and even a love twist. It
will definitely shed new light on the poker life." In
a recent interview with Extreme Magazine Jet also
commented on the movie. "This movie is not about rap
or my rap career. It's about a kid who was dope at
poker, taking on the best and funding this company,
the crazy thing is he wasn't 21 and the movie is about
the obstacle they face when being band from Atlantic
City, and how this kid went from the top of the world
to the bottom faster than the blink of an eye" Jet
also went on to say that he will be releasing an album
prequel called, "Chasing Amber" before the album with
all original production. Chasing Amber is set to come
out sometime in March 2007. To find out more
