"Kafe' Riko's latin music and bio"
Kafe' Riko started out as a family group 10 years ago in Vacaville. Around 5 years ago the band transformed itself and didn't want to be labeled as any specific genre. With the addition of a rapper, and the different backgrounds of the members in the group their music evolved. Everything from Latin, Rock, Hip Hop, Pop can be heard by this group. With a strong percussion section, as well as a in your face horn section, the Latin influence is still there with there Spanish/English lyrics mixed with the hip hop flavor, and rock in between.
Kafe Riko was voted into the finals of the Emergenza Music Festival (World Wide Battle of the Bands) in San Francisco in 2008, and received the highest number of fan votes in the Bay Area. They performed their underground hits at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. They are currently completing 5 more original songs so they can complete their dream album. Their videos can be seen on youtube.com, and myspacetv.com. Their influences are Carlos Santana, Malo, Mana, Ozomatli, Black Eyed Peas and more!!! Kafe' Riko has energy, energy, energy!!!
