" Kelly Allyn's Country Music and Bio"
Born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming, I’m a small town girl with big city dreams. I grew up blessed with loving parents and family who never turned down a chance to nurture and encourage my ambitions. I began singing in church as a little girl, participating in music and choir all through school and qualifying for Honor Choir in high school. Along the way I was always eager to sing at special events and weddings. After high school I let go of singing, to investigate a different interest. So I pursued a degree at Laramie, Wyoming, Stony Brook, Long Island, and eventually settled at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver, Colorado earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. A few years later my husband joined the military and was deployed to the Arabian Gulf. The day he left I began to sing again, because I knew that turning to my passion would pull me through. Six months later, the same night my husband was due home, I attended an event that allowed me sixty seconds to make an impression on judges who could potentially change my life. And one callback later, that is exactly what happened. |
