Construct The Indefinite

Striving to make Palatine, IL known for the band that lived and made music there, Construct The Indefinite is one of the first hard music bands from such an average town. With few knowing about the band itself, even fewer know the full story behind the band.

It began with four seemingly ordinary high school students. But the long-standing friendship between a drummer and a guitarist grew into an audition, which sealed the drummer a spot in Construct The Indefinite. Eventually, the four friends got so accustomed to each other’s talents that they were making up to two songs a month. June 2007 saw their debut show as a double whammy: not only was it their first time on the scene, but it was also the first show of a local Battle Of The Bands contest. Unfortunately, they did not win, but still walked optimistically forward with their steadily growing mini-career.

Not long after the contest ended, Construct The Indefinite made the permanent decision to change their name to what it is now. The band was formed in late 2006 in Tim's basement by Tim, Dan, and Talha, under the name of En Theatrum. Before they made the public announcement at one of their shows, they were known as Melbourne. Surprisingly to some, many of their current fans were disappointed about the name change. To many of the band members, leaving Melbourne and En Theatrum was an important decision, because while Construct The Indefinite is a paradox, it also has a meaning. It is now very hard to find evidence that they were once called anything but CTI. Construct The Indefinite is actually an unintended creation from Juan Hernandez, a long time friend of the band members.

To this day, they continue to put effort into booking shows and getting their name known, all by themselves. Great ideas and artistic ability from all of the members always makes every show enjoyable for the audience and the band.

These four makers of music are known as Tim Washington, Dan Ahmad, Talha Ahmad, and Brad Johnson. They continue to work strong to consistently leave an impact on the music scene. Being one of the first ever bands in the hard music world with three different races, the members of Construct The Indefinite stand out by embracing anti-racism, great music, and the ability to pursue your dream career no matter how old you are.

Good fast driving pace, cool vocals, and the arrangement made it interesting. The only con, not very unique. Rock on!
