Summer 2006, Myrtle Beach trashy/annoying rock band the Hollywood Water Rats were on their last leg.. Guitar player's Jamie D'lux, and Atom Justice, AND bass player Jeff (J.C. Blades) were sick of dealing with their singer's antics, and wanted to move on to bigger and better things... They were recording their demo with Ryan Kickass (former drummer of Zoe Vette and the New Recruits) @ Monkey Business, in Myrtle Beach, SC.. And they started talking about starting a new band..  A BAD-ASS Rock band that would blow all others away!   So it was set.. They had a couple songs already, but they needed a singer... And whom else but long time friend, and Jerk & Destroy guitar player, the Deuce (aka Edward the Longshanks).... They had a Myrtle Beach All Star band, and the songs seemed to flow out of them.. But they needed a name.
Over the next few months, they practiced, and wrote songs, but they still had no name.  They even had a show booked.  Sept 13th, 2006 with Michale Graves (x Misfits frontman), but they didnt know what to tell the promoter to put on the flyer. They had a few names they were kicking around:  the Del-Razors, the Coughin' Nails, Sinster Minister, the Gaskin Blades, etc, etc, but nothing seemed to work. One night, while out drinking with local band "Something About Vampires and Sluts", they were REALLY drunk and trying to find a name.   That's when S.A.V.A.S. guitar player, Brian Mckenzie said, SHARKLEGS!   He LOVED IT...  but most of the band hated it....A couple weeks later they were talked into SharkLegs as a name, by Ed and Ryan (singer and drummer).. and after awhile, everyone in the band liked it.. 

After going on tour and getting through the first few live auditions for BODOG MUSIC'S BATTLE OF THE BANDS, the band realized that guitar player Atom Justice needed to be replaced... In comes Sean Lane (from Ed's old band, JERK & DESTROY)...
