PillowTalk Politiks is a collaborative effort between Minnesota emcee/beatsmith Tigre Cole and Maryland producer Entity. For this first musical joint effort, both Entity and Tigre agreed on giving listeners a sample of what a full lentgh album would bring.
This concept/collab has been half a decade in the making with both artists working on various projects and in a slew of bands/groups. Finally . . . they come together.
With Entity's melodic and lush instrumentals providing a landscape for Tigre Cole's addictive and often magnetic wordplay, it's no wonder anticipation for this teaser album has been quite high.
The Pillowtalk Politiks EP also features a track produced by FireLikeWater's Brando as well as a track produced by Check and Balance's Soul Heir and Big Iggz. There is only one other emcee who could match and compliment both Entity's compositions and Tigre's rhymes. That emcee is none other than Prizm (former band mate of Tigre Cole's and current Check and Balance rhyme slinger).
Overall, the PillowTalk Politiks EP gives listeners exactly what they've been missing . . . dope beats and dope rhymes. Something that has become hard to find in this oversaturated and underappreciated art.
