"Scott Rode's Pop/Folk/Celestial music and bio"
I titled my album "Emotions at Play" filled with music that I have written, composed and recorded over the years. More recently though I have re recorded my music using updated technology to give my music a better overall sound and quality, still not perfect yet, in time though. Granted when you listen to some of the songs you will hear that they still need work, and I'm still in the process of making every song sound it's best. Reworking the words and re arranging the chords I play on my guitar, some going from straight picking to upbeat rhythms. I purchased a new Microphone by Sennheiser, model Evolution e815 s and a new digital interface the M-Audio MobilePre USB Portable Audio Interface along with the Takamine EG530SSC acoustic 6 string with the TK-40 electronic pick-up. All these put together will greatly enhance my music for a richer cleaner sound. The guitar is probably the best guitar I have ever played. I like the way it sounds as an acoustic as well as how it sounds via recording or amplified. So sit back, click on my songs and give a listen and enjoy. Let me know what you think of my songs and my site. Thank you for stopping by and if you know someone who would also like to listen to my music, send to my site or better yet post my widget's in your blogs. Thank you now and peace be with you. My hobbies, when not chasing down Bentley ancestors, includes Hunting for and polishing agates—something my deceased WWII veteran father Charles William Rode got us kids involved with at an early age. I also enjoy writing and singing music, playing guitar, and various challenging games including puzzles. I graduated from high school in Annandale, MN in 1976, enlisted in the Navy in 1976 and went to boot camp in San Diego, California. I was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia aboard the USS America CV-66 aircraft carrier, which has been decommissioned and now lays to rest off the coast of Norfolk, Virginia. I was honorably discharged in 1980 as an IM E5 (Instrument Repairman Second Class Petty Officer). After my discharge, I worked for several years as an Office Machine Repair Technician in St Cloud, MN, then Denver, Colorado and back to the Twin Cities, MN area. I then worked for Target in their downtown Minneapolis headquarters, loading the Windows based operating system onto 10 to 20 computers per day and setting them up at the Target employee’s desks. I’m now a Furniture Sales Consultant working for HOM Furniture in Coon Rapids, MN.
