"5 Acres of Fear Bio and Rock Music"5 Acres of Fear is a Surf, Punk, Experimental band that formed in San Francisco in 2006. The lineup consisted of Guy Garrison (bass), Pete Sciacca (guitars), P-Ratt (drums), and Nate Huggins (guitars, vocals, keys). Their style reflected a large range of influences, including Dick Dale inspired surf tunes, punk rock, Spanish guitars, metal, and just plain weirdness. The band recorded many studio tracks in a short amount of time, including extensive work with Willie the Mailman of Grave Brothers Deluxe. Guy Garrison left the group in October 2006 in order to move to Seattle, Washington. In February 2007 the group broke up, citing creative differences. They did, however, in the time they were together, manage to record enough songs to have material for a CD. The album has been given the final title of "More Anguish for Your Pleasure", based on a running joke involving the band, and a track from the record itself. As of this writing, Sciacca and Huggins have reunited creatively, and begun writing new tracks for a possible second album with P-Ratt again at the drums, and Huggins taking over bass duties. |
