Min. Robert Deon Norris was born in Jeffersonville IN. and at the age of seven he accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Min. Deon is presently a member of the Canaan Christian Church, in Louisville KY, under the spiritual leadership of Dr. Walter Malone Jr, pastor/founder. His musical interest began to develop at an early age when he joined the Louisville Gospel Choral Union. In his association with the union, he became a member of the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses, the late Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey, founder. He has worked with artist's such as The late Rev. Donald Vails, Dottie Peoples, Tommy Jones and the Christian Mass Workshop Choir and is currently writing for the Georgia Mass Choir , under the direction Milton Bingham. He has recorded with the Gospel Music Workshop of America mass choir.and his songs have been sung by various departments of The National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses, Bishop Kenneth H. Moales Sr. president. In the summer of 2003 Deon was afflicted with a serious leg injury, and laidup for over a year. during this time God spoke to him and told him to loose the chains that had him bound and recieve his deliverance. Afterwards god allowed Deon to start the Praise and Worship Chorale. This gifted writer has recorded two projects, "Praise Him While There's Time" with Generations and "Loose the Chains" with "The Praise and Worship Chorale". Deon expresses that he knows that if it wasn't for God on his side, none of this would be possible today. He is a strong worshipper that truly loves the Lord.
